Coral Health and QT

Corals that come in and out of our systems undergo extensive dipping (Potassium chloride; KCl) and QT to ensure optimal pest-free health prior to sale. All corals destined for shipment are dipped in KCl and housed in a separate holding system. We feel that our QT in-out method provides assurance that corals delivered to customers are pest-free to the best of our ability. While we feel our corals will be delivered pest-free, we do recommend always dipping prior to adding to your system no matter who you receive your corals from.

 

Frags are housed under a combination of LEDs: AI hydras, AI blades, and Orphek bars at 250-350 PAR with 12 hour actinic with a 6 hour full spectrum midday schedule. Please light acclimate your corals accordingly. Basic parameters: pH 8.0-8.4, Alk 7.5-8.5, Ca ~430, mag ~1400, Phos 0.08-0.14, and Nitrate 5-10)

DOA policy and shipping

Orders will be shipped within 1-2 business days of payment as arranged. Unless otherwise arranged, we ship overnight on Tuesday/Wednesday each week for arrive Wednesday/Thursday respectively. If significant weather delays are anticipated, we will hold corals and ship when weather related events subsides. Corals can be held up to 1 week from payment unless otherwise arranged (i.e. combining two auction sales).

 

Shipping

  • Shipping to WI/MN/MI/IL: $35

  • Shipping to all other states: $50

  • Free shipping for orders over $300

  • Free local pick up in Madison, WI

 

DOA policy: In the unfortunate event that corals arrive DOA, a replacement or refund will be issued depending on preference. Images of DOA coral on top of white styrofoam package are required within 3 hours of delivery. DOA policy is void if package(s) are not accepted within 2 hours of delivery.
